Rob Shimmin
Rob Shimmin has more than two decades of experience as a public relations professional. He launched Shimmin Ltd. at the beginning of 2005, with the aim of helping companies build and protect their brands by creating a deeper bench of stronger spokespeople. Underpinning this approach is a belief that brands are built and protected by the promises and actions of people.
Shimmin Ltd differentiates itself by placing the emphasis on content (what to say) before training in the areas of delivery (how to say it) and channels (where to say it). Rob Shimmin's training is geared towards confidence building. He helps find the right spokespeople in an organisation, training them to work with the media to mutual advantage - be that during a routine brand-building interview or under heavy fire in times of crisis. The consultancy provides senior PR counsel, communications training and crisis preparation to a variety of global brands.
Prior to forming Shimmin Ltd., Rob spent ten years with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide where he enjoyed three challenging roles:

- 2003-2005 Managing Director, Europe, Africa & Middle East

Rob is married to Ketta who is also a director in the business. They live in Kent with their three daughters Evie, Florence and Clara.
